Greetings!
My name is Carlos Francisco. Through this website I want to share with all of you some things about myself and my life.
In 2005, I got my PhD degree in Chemical Engineering at Oregon State University and the following year I joined as chemical engineering faculty at my Alma Mater, Instituto Tecnológico de Durango.
News
- 2009-10-12: This week we are having the Congreso Nacional de Ingeniería Química 2009 (2009 National Conference in Chemical Engineering) organized by the Chemical Engineering Academia at ITD. I am in charge of the event's photography, website, and proceedings.
- 2009-09-08: Today is CruzFierro.com's fifth birthday! Five years is a lot of time even though it seems like it was just yesterday. Let's review these last five years: back then, I had already finished my MS and I was preparing my PhD thesis proposal. I was about to attend AIChE conference and give a short presentation about voidage interpolation in CFD simulations of fluidized beds. I was planning to write a paper about that... and haven't done it yet! Since then, I finished my PhD moved back to Durango and joined ITD faculty. So far, I've had 521 students in 30 groups, including undergraduate and graduate courses, spanning eight semesters and two summers. As of today, my "to do" list has 116 items (not including that forgotten paper about voidage interpolation!) so I keep pretty busy. Thank you everybody for visiting, for keeping in touch, and for all those good memories that reinforce our friendship, even though sometimes we can't see each other for long periods of time.
